Tom has a passion for sharing information that helps people live better. Before joining Dr. Joe Explains, Tom had a distinguished career with Merck & Co. During his 38 years with Merck, Tom developed a wealth of industry knowledge and broad experiences that enabled him to lead a number of award-winning sales teams and to lead highly effective headquarter based support teams. He was frequently an invited speaker and trainer on the topic of “Building Strong Culture Oriented Sales Teams”, and in 2013, he was inducted into the Merck Management Hall of Fame. Tom also led Merck’s Health, Education and Liaison Department, where he developed many innovative medical education programs for healthcare professionals. His work was instrumental in the establishment and implementation of policies and processes to assure field sales compliance with ACCME and PhRMA guidelines for sales and marketing practices.
